I would highly recommend checking out two things that’ll help you learn even more: the TRENDS Seminar on May 2nd at L’Auberge (this is a great seminar with speakers specifically talking about the real estate trends in BR) and the Baton Rouge REIA called RING (Real estate Investors Networking Group), which meets the 2nd Tuesday evening of every month.

Search RING on Facebook and you'll find them. 

He wants to also purchase his own home next year before his wedding, but again has no money for this, actually has a good amount of credit card debt.

Be sure to get an inspection too so that you are not surprised with huge capital expenses shortly after purchasing it.Also unless you have a wedding date set and it is soon I would just put the house in your name.

I'm excited to keep learning as much as possible, and we are probably going to be buying our first property somewhere in Texas before the end of Summer - but its quite a load with the wedding planning happening at the same time!
