Obviously, it costs much more money to relocate water piping, drains, gas pipes, electrical wiring, stove vent pipe, etc. and frugal people don't want to spend more money that absolutely necessary, but they do want to make sure they do want to make sure they get the most bang for their buck and do it right the first time.I am a general contractor and get to work with many customers and listen to their crazy ideas where I would not waste my money.

ok so she bought the home for 240000 and has gotten it down to 175000 in the last 5 years leaving 65000 in equity in the home. shes looking to net $10000 on the deal so she can relocate. they spent 25000 fixing up the home recently, the house really is in great shape. but im not sure there is enough equity in the home to make a deal.

Many times I have found that a reasonable attitude and calm conversation can work well in achieving your goals.I would discuss helping this tenant with the cost of relocating and see how they respond.
