I most definitely will keep saving, from what the news is saying, the Auckland market is slowly cooling down, however the prices are still rising, but no where near as quickly as it has been over the last 2 or so years.

The property has been empty for 8 years and all units need rehabbing.  1duplex can be done and ready to rent quickly ( 30k total rehab).  1 duplex will require a bit more rehab but is basically in the same condition.

Just know that it would be horrendously low based on actual numbers.I think your biggest challenge will be attracting decent management with such a small number of units.

The area is coming around quick, but I would be more inclined to buy/hold then flip in 2-3 years when the neighborhood has more of the amenities that attract homeowners as opposed to renters.Just my 2cents.
