Paul, I would say it probably cost the same, (I don't know what the current fee could be) It's better to ask yourself , "what is the value of knowledge" of course you can learn what you need on your own, ( how much will that cost?)

It does take some work and learning but if you are looking to start booking direct, you can take the time.

Just like how I manage my rentals, I call my property management style "Self-Service Management," where I do less, and just provide the tools and resources to my tenants so they can do things on their own.Well, I've actually tested out many "business" banks (Regions, BofI/Axos, Azlo, Novo, Bluevine, Kabbage, etc.) and eventually, I found the best, for me and my style.

@Michael GibsonRecommend exploring as many sources as possible to get referrals AND cross-reference them to get as much accurate information as possible.Check out NARPM.com, BP’s Property Manager Finder (BiggerPockets: The Real Estate Investing Social Network), etc.Also, encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others - by reading posts here on BiggerPockets about owners not having their expectations met by their current Property Management Company.
