Hello, I am a graduate from University of Maryland University College who studied criminal justice but has now falling in love with Real Estate Investing.

She wanted cash and the sheriff acted as a witness saying if my check bounced he'd personally make sure I was prosecuted.  

As long as you don’t have a criminal record, have a credit score of 600 or greater and no bankruptcy in the last 3 years and can show at least $15k in the bank for 3 months this company will lend to me with interest only payments for 12 months.  

Can you do a criminal background check ?...

Closer in it seems to depend on proximity to certain high traffic commercial areas that attract criminal activity and nearby apartments where tenants are not screened as well and security/visiting rules enforced.   

I found out that their boyfriend had an extensive criminal background involving drugs and theft.

I currently live and practice law (Criminal) in Oklahoma.  

How about devoting some resources to clearing out the backlog of permits or having some more police to help catch real criminals?  

I am curious now to learn what types of criminal charges can result from this offense.

Screening your tenants with credit, criminal, and eviction is always a good idea.
