As per Florida law and even though they are not named in his will his 3 estranged, adult children need to sign off on my inheritance and 2 of them refuse to do so.

Of course you don't want all their furniture in your living spaces.

I hope they are there at some point because it would allow me to really help my children and future grandchildren, but that will hopefully be gravy when I reach regular retirement age.

I’ve posted the third unit to a few rental sites, and since it’s 3 bedrooms, most of the people interested are families with children. 

I liken it to school children that have a substitute teacher in their classroom, whom they give no respect and challenge at every opportunity because he/she is constantly compared to the regular teacher's policies/demeanor/management style.Good luck!

I hope there are no children involved - but if there are, then let Social Services know your concerns too. 

But I must do a deep clean - like more crumbs under the couch cushions and more laundry with blankets and throws; put the furniture back where it belongs.

Its worse than asbestos, IMO, because how quickly it can effect the body, especially children.

So if he ever gets back on his feet and wants to finance a car or furniture, or a house, or he wants to rent another apartment, he will come crawling back to pay you so the judgement can be lifted.
