Initially, the boomers were the stimulus of economic expansion:•1950s -- parents buy new houses and cars, suburbs emerge, and America is King of Production•1960s -- more housing, more cars, college educations, Made in Japan = cheap, Vietnam, shaken values, Johnson's "War on Poverty"•1970's -- the Boomers emerge with jobs, are new consumers -- more housing, international manufacturing becomes more competitive, US corporations locate operations overseas•1980s -- Reagan tax cuts = increased discretionary spending, revenues up, social programs funded, Iron Curtain falls, technology enables global expansion•1990s -- peak Boomer earnings, corporate America dissolves pensions (funding liabilities, regulatory liabilities, increasing PBGIC premiums) and convince Boomers to "control" their retirement with self-directed 401(k)'s, Moore's Law at work in technology, the Internet becomes hostile to profits, emergence of private equity and venture capital on a large scale, increased financial engineering•2000s -- oops, where did the American Dream go?

I don't see anyone else using them.I'm personally not a fan of bumper stickers . . . put one on your nice car and it isn't so nice anymore.

Trade a good house for a rehab that someone wants to make money on, cars for a house, house for cars, etc...

Rail cars, port cranes, etc.There is a lot of ways to lose money in real estate, but knowledgeable investors will make money in RE.

I'm sure their sins would be forgiven, the states would kick in and the feds would pay out what was need for the basics until that entity could tax the citizens enough and maybe titcket every car passing through....lol.

All kinds of things happened over there from accidentally setting their car on fire to a knock down drag 'em by the hair cat fight.

mike's right...i discrimnate agaisnt rude, disrespectul people...this includes people blasting music in their car when they call on my for rent signs...c'mon, if you're not courteous enough to turn down the music in your car for a few minutes, then i don't think you'll be a good neighbor to my tenants

I have not done a short sale on a car.

After all, a lot of members have cars, houses...you name it, for profile pictures.What I think is more important is the info IN their profile.

They may not need a new iPod or car, but they do need a roof.
