@John CollinsYes there are cameras everywhere but also when travelers from China came in, they were asked to download an App which would track their GPS location.

I currently put all of my living expenses on a credit card (including rent) as the points returned allow me to travel for free (I have never paid a dollar of interest on a credit card in 5 years).

Check is fine too, but has to get annoying if you're traveling or have to deal with a missed payment.
