Maybe and this is supposition on my part the companies involved wanted to mitigate social media and negative press.. that can be in my mind the only reason they would send buyers rent checks on vacant homes.. now with the buyers who never saw them were not allow 3rd party inspection.. and all paid cash.. you can see how that would be easily manipulated.. but again I don't know if it was a Ponzi or not..

Additionally, Springfield and Media seem to have pretty good schools, but the higher home values combined with the property taxes makes it tough.

To expand beyond the circle of affluent people down in Greenville, perhaps you want to start doing social media and SEO to begin to attract people into your platform who don't live in your area.  

Another thought is seeing if the highway department would rent it or buy it for a place to store salt for the trucks (Obviously not Alabama as there is not much snow).

Restaurants... stores.... it's a 5 min walk to the metro north.

I believe my tenant stores his motorcycle in the back yard.
