Because as a non-carpenter, my decision was to shave the door, which looked like crap, was not a straight line (lack of tools) and sucked more of my already stressed time....

In a society that feeds on the negative it's wonderful to hear positivity.

The only way to make money seems to be to buy in cash, but even if I do that with a 150k condo, the taxes and fees are typically about $800 or so per month, with rent about $1200 or so, and so the numbers are not great ...I have seen big properties in Irvington and East Orange and Newark for $150k,  but they look to be in disrepair and I do not want to become a landlord in a stressed area where I am dealing with various problems. 

I don't know what to do and it's stressing me out!

You may be eager to get funding, but it is not worth it to have someone without experience that is calling you all the time and stressing you out about details.So how do you ask for money?

It can be a stressful business…agreeing to purchase a property but still having to raise the funds to pay for it.

Getting them out of there and a replacement in is incredibly stressful, epecially when they are half-way done, but you can do it.  

I am lucky that she has been saving for about 25 years so I am not under a tremendous stress.  

Also the climate- the Summer time is hot and the Winter is very cold which puts more stress on the mechanical units of a building.
