I haven't found much helpful information in my search so far.I've purchased and rebuilt three homes in the past, but I've never done a new build from the ground up.

I’m not sure if a JADU will affect the house’s value, but since I just bought the house in May and plan to live in it for 10+ years, I'm happy as long as the garage can provide a steady cash flow to help offset my mortgage payments.

What matters is that you're about to buy a property that will help you offset your mortgage in a big way, shoring up your reserves that you can then use to buy another in a few years.
