My suggestion would be to either prevent people who have X number of posts or less from posting on a thread inactive for a certain time period, or have a "Pop-up" box telling them the thread is X months/years old, and are they sure they really want to post?

I agree, my first thought went to the property manager as well-if 3 of 4 homes are in disrepair then preventative maintenance is something the property manager probably ignored and is not worth the expense.

I can't stress enough to check your credit reports at least every 4 months with 1 of the bureaus but it sounds like this couldn't have been prevented since your mail wasn't forwarded.

just an FYI, he may be welding already, you can use 110 machines, the 220 just gives him more power, so your not preventing the use of a welding machine, just the power. also this is not like a torch and is very controlled.

If you prevent somebody from getting the unit they wanted with your phone call by making false statements, they might just come after you if you said the wrong things.
