In my state (TN) by law you have to hold security deposits in a separate account specifically designated for that purpose.Now if you have multiple partnerships, LLCs, etc that would be different.

I would say try to pay a fair amount on all, but concentrate on the smallest and get it paid off as soon as possible, then double up on the next lowest one.
