I guess I have concerns about those assets being subject to a lawsuit if one ever arises.

In thinking about the market I'm most familiar with, Atlanta, I can give you a basic numbers guess (numbers from about a year ago, things there have changed a lot).

My guess is the owner has this relative that is the tenant, and the tenant is a spendthrift or deadbeat; so the owner is hoping to be relieved of the problem house, and still have housing provided for the deadbeat relative (but this owner no longer wants to be the housing provider).

Next week, for the whole week I'll be a social worker treating those afflicted with real estate investor syndrome, a condition of that effects many who fail to realize reality with grandiose tendencies....

But their stories are fantastic.I guess I should mention to that I don't fix anything.

I'm guessing there are absentee owners who are already sick of landlording long distance and want to be rid of their properties and move on.I've seen a few people here complaining about a low response rate from their absentee list, so I'm wondering if my criteria hasn't been hit as hard.
