Where I live it used to be 30 days - and I didn't think that was enough time for folks living month to month to pull funds together to save up, look for a place, get a deposit and 1st mo's together etc... so I always gave at least 60. 

Unfortunately I never got started on this, but definitely interested in getting back into it!

That would make it much easier to get actionable information.

Get more people working in sectors where we need them and provide incentive to do so. 

So Basically as mentioned by Metro Water, consulting with a Civil Engineer to get a quote to understand the projected cost of the project. 

@Maura WinklerI would look into getting a portfolio loan against your US real estate to acquire that property.

Make sure and get a 1 year lease in place.

House hacking is perhaps the best way to get to cashflow other than buying off market (most likely finding the lead yourself) and doing a ton of work to get it rent ready, which is obviously cash intensive and time intensive.

FYI, obviously I get MUCH more detailed than this example.
