I've only been involved in one pool install, and I let my pool contractor direct me, we used tinted marcite for the body, tinted concrete instead of tile for the border, and a concrete pool deck.

We have a income producing multi-use NC2 building that is almost paid off & have been thinking of selling(we also live in part-time).

My simple formula is to count warm bodies.

Being able to produce them is a great selling point to support your asking priice. 

My appetite for REI is driven by the below mentioned traits that produce hefty rewards:LeverageCash flowAppreciation (forced, inflation and demand)Tax benefitsEquity building

Then buy an income producing property.

Once you are somewhat  or in complete agreement start learning more in earnest about where and what properties would produce good results and be honest with yourselves, learn to look at it as a business.

People can have a wonderful "online" persona, but you can see their body language, guage their tone, and see if they can answer questions without googling it first before posting a response.
