And, if you're looking at a FL LLC your information is always available to the public anyway without a bit of machination so it's going to be difficult to shelter your identity that way anyway.

I believe the refi will be difficult and only to a terrible LTV.Remember, a legal entity "stands in the place of a real person", and if you were to refi your personal home, they would be looking at your DTI.This makes the point "Does your LLC have any income to service debt?"

I could keep going with some out of the box ideas but until you determine how involved you want to be with the degree of risk it is very difficult to steer you in a particular direction.

The conference looks like it has a good amount of value, but with the Paper Source conference in April, and the Note Expo conference in November, it's difficult to justify the cost of travel, hotel, food and the conference for yet another event in our note investing niche.

I'm just personally having a very difficult time creating the best approach for them to have the best outcome.In the end if it's too complicated for them and not worth racking my brain over I'm OK with that, I would just hate to see them let their investment basically dissolve due to unfortunate life circumstances.
