Its the easiest thing to accumulate.

It's foolish for me to pay off that loan, when I can redeploy my accumulated cash towards real estate and other income producing assets.Do not invest in real estate before taking control of your personal situation and eliminating bad debts.

I believe multifamily properties would allow me to develop a good passive income stream and accumulate more capital to purchase additional properties.  

I have been lurking for a couple of months now but finally decided to get myself out there and make my official intro post.My main real estate goals are like a lot of others...accumulate enough buy and holds to eventually leave the day job.  

I hope to accumulate multifamily homes, single family residence, and condos/town homes. 

It's crazy though how after accumulating all these, I really don't feel wealthy by any means.

I'm also very interested in assuming VA loans for investment since it seems like a great way to accumulate properties with little to no money out of pocket.

Strategy 2016: Cautiously buy out of state properties, accumulate cashflow for my balance sheet (to qualify bigger loans).Started 2016:6 (all out of state) rental properties.Holding cash/stocks for out of state investments.Today: Raised rent on 3 properties.Added 3 more rental properties, all in IndianaPurchased 2 properties from whole sellers and remotely rehabbed.Used a new loan to purchase one higher priced and newer property (remotely rehab).

It will come in handy when you accumulate more properties.  

I currently own one rental property in Chicago and I would love to accumulate many more in the coming years.
