Ask was there any building permit/building safety department issues.

I will give the building department a call today.

They would likely know of someone.The next option is to contact the Washington State Department of Appraisal (or Licensing - whatever it is called in your state) and ask for a list of appraiser supervisors.

Hello Fellow BP Member, I just thought I would share an article that I read on the California Department of Real Estate website.

In either case you will need to talk to your city or county planning department to determine what you can do and what is required to get it done.

Most every state has a major university that has a R/E department and I like these because it's unbias and there is no profit motive.In one of the discussion articles one of economics professors is a bit contrarian and thinks this "shadow inventory" of homes banks alledge they are holding isn't that real...or as big as the hype professes to be.Good stuff here!
