I studied engineering, so I see things from a nuts/bolts standpoint and from a cost-efficiency stand-point.

I just don't see the point of replacing the entire system for a low end rental.

Retail Investors in anything, Buy at the Top and Sell at the Bottom and lose Money because they can't see the position of the Cycle they are in.

I see the pity side of it towards the tenants, but they signed a contract and then decided to cancel twenty something days later.

Don't expect them to understand, see the vision, or "get it" in the same way that you do.
