Never not offer a solution based on how you would react if it were offered to you.

The best you can do is find a reliable tenant and build a relationship with them.

Meanwhile ask your electricity provider how it is acceptable for you to go without power for 6-7 weeks and why a temporary solution was not offered. 

It’s not very reliable and I find it is a waste of my time.  

I think your best bet is to find a reliable turnkey provider.

And posting a 5-Day Pay or Quit on them has always been the solution.
