"Long-Term AirBnb" sounds like an oxymoron tbh - I think they are probably whats now being called "Medium Term Rentals" which is using platforms such as airbnb for stays greater than 30 days but less than a traditional 12-month lease.I'd check out the Medium Term Rentals forum here on BiggerPockets and the book on MTR published last year in the bookstore for more info!

Moving the property to a corporation is horrible horrible advice.Not only does that potentially screw the step up in basis as there would only be step up in basis of corporate shares and not the property itself, but it also locks in real estate losses that can't be passed to the owners.You should consider firing the CPA for giving that advice.

I was reading some articles (like the one linked here) about there being a federal ruling late last year regarding how buyers' agents will not receive direct commission from home sales in the future. https://www.paloaltoonline.com/real-estate/2024/02/20/after-...However, my cousin, who is currently a buyers agent with Compass in CA says not much will change, stating that if buyers' agents aren't paid, then who will connect homebuyers with the right sellers?
