The ABC's of Real Estate Investing Enjoy!

Here are a couple of people who enjoy earning a profit from this site so making you happy might be worth the time.

I feel moderately comfortable but a little apprehensive about doing it myself after watching some youtube videos and reading some guides.. 

Many years ago, like many others I am sure, I was invested in all high tech stocks and watched $117,000.00 go to $5,000.00 super~fast.

Want to say hello to the BiggerPockets crowd.I have been enjoying the podcast and the forums, lots of great information out there.About 15 years ago, when I lived in California, I saw potential for real estate investment in the Midwest - I even flew out and toured through several states.

@Chris AllenThere are SO many books to read on the subject of REI and business but here are three that I really enjoyed reading.1.

Either enjoy depreciation now and pay more capital gains later (or 1031); or have reduced write offs now with less gains upon selling. 

As far as getting started, I suggest you watch some podcasts and surf through the site looking for answers to any questions you have, and then possibly getting some books as well.
