Thanks to BP, I am becoming more knowledgeable about the subject by spending 1-2 hrs/day just reading the BP blogs and informative articles.

I was just reading Ben's latest blog post and he brought up some real numbers after owning 100 doors.

Call a pm company and find out what they charge and what is included- around here 8% is typical, but I have heard of 8% plus 1 month's rent when they get a new tenant, and 10% for other areas.There are loads of books available and lots of suggestions in the blog and forum posts, and of course the forum and blog posts themselves are excellent resources!

Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business.
