You cannot rationally insist that these two statements are not mutually contradictory.

I wasn't sure if I was rationalizing that correctly.

Markets can be irrational in the short term, but eventually comes back to rational levels in the long term.

Geez, this thread is going nowhere.It's like trying to have a rational discussion with a religious zealot who, in desperation in unsuccessfully trying to persuade you to their thinking, screams, 'It's a fact, and it's in the bible, so look it up!'

People whose rationality comes and goes usually have more than a drinking problem going on.  

With that being said, I don't actively go looking to fail or lose money but it's how I rationalize it if it should happen.      

The whole reason behind all of this is to get my personal finances all sewed up and to get my dti ration down.
