Current House - Hacker on a Triplex,  still a DINK (Double Income No Kids.. for now) purchased off the MLS during COVID.

I’m a busy mom with 2 kids.

A married couple in their 70s that have previously owned homes for 40+ years and are now retired with no debt, no kids, and 50 years experiene as adults should not be looked at the same as a boyfriend/girlfriend in their early 20s that have never owned a home or rented together before, still paying student loans, living paycheck to paycheck, and financing that 2018 Dodge Charger in the driveway.

If our kids go with us and we drive to LA on a Sunday, all of our direct car related expenses are tax deductible even though the kids are in the car including 1/2 of the meals for my wife and I.  

Let's say 3 young single guys want to buy investment triplex.  5 years later your credit is all tied up in that triplex so when one of your partners gets married and has kids and his wife wants to buy a house for the family, they can't do it, because his name is on that investment mortgage. 

@JD MartinIt's our job as parents to teach our kids delayed gratification.

The kids on your Facebook profile need you to stay rational and provide for them.

So if we did inherit a unit ( tenant died kids dont want it) we would just sell it for what we can get..

And I don't see places where people don't feel there kids are safe to ride their bikes around as good long term investments. 

I don’t use it because my house is oriented to families, and my adult guests probably won’t like me sending their kids marketing emails.
