If the garage isn’t being used, turning it into a dedicated game room should add some value particularly if you are targeting families or larger parties.

The crazy part is, is that I feel like these types of things are normal to find in almost any property if you care enough.

Hi Rob, Sorry I am late to the party but here are my two cents.

Do these companies typically have 3rd party services/placement agency/some function in HR to provide relocation assistance to a new/relocating employee (within the US or international). 

Bottom line is this; most real estate transactions only occur when both parties PERCEIVE the transaction as being advantageous to themselves.  

You'll often see variations in minimum night stays, use of 3rd party management companies, and general attitude toward STRs.

The original posters / plaintiffs now go silent on social media but the secondary investors still believe the original posts and simply repeat it continually in an effort to convince themselves that the money they should have never invested because they couldn’t afford to lose is going to be recovered in short order.Of course this is just fantasy on my part, I have no way of knowing how much of it, if any is true.  

Choose to conduct due diligence in-house, hire a third-party company, or utilize the property management company.
