I've seen banks be very competitive with blanket loans that cover multiple properties and/or multi-family properties, e.g. 5+ units.Mortgage Brokers (obviously I'm biased) - Brokers have the ability to work with all of the above and can get you to the best lender for your scenario right away instead of having you waste your time with the wrong type of lender.

In the case where those assets did not cover the costs for the line, would that lender also have a clawback clause that allows them to claw at other assets?

If the rent payment covers your mortgage and you have a good tenant, why would you get rid of them to take on the expense of unit turnover, because you will have to do one, and the 5% vacancy loss just to increase your rent $150 per month?
