This is not tax advice, and I've found with proper documentation, it helps defend transactions, especially with auditors (and I include IRS agents in this list). 

Looking at the county auditor's site, it looks like Fannie Mae has the house now.

Look up their name on the county auditors website then do a search for their phone number on https://www.fastpeoplesearch.c...Then call them.

And let's assume you the CPA (or you the IRS auditor) have not read this thread and just see that person A paid $x in "discount points" and person B paid the exact same $x in "investment property fee."

Normally you can look up the tax/owner mailing address and info on county auditor site.

Went and looked at two rental properties one was a single family house currently rented at $700 a month same tenant for over 2 years house ( is valued at $70k on auditor site) the other is a six unit all units rented out total is $2900 tenants vary from 3 months up to over 4 years both in the same neighborhood which is a good upcoming area.
