I am going to guess that you are fairly new to investing and even go a little further in that you have yet to buy a property for pure investment purposes.  

The batteries will also need to be replaced about every 6 months.Overall, we enjoy having it, but we have had to work through some kinks.

If so that will need to be likely where you live and work, where you can owner occupy a unit for at least one year.Otherwise you're probably looking at 20-30% down if it is pure investment property and then you can do that anywhere you can find one and qualify for the loan.Then I would be looking at almost any of the big cities in Florida or Texas. 

Some people use purely the short term rental insurance which is the most expensive.

From my observation we are seeing the ripple effect, where buyers can no longer afford prices in one neighbourhood and move to the next, therefore demand increases..... happy days I also have SFH that I purely hold for cash flow, an income stream.

That home is their place of refuge from the rest of the world...a place where they can recharge their batteries after a long day of work.

I am not sure what business you are in but if it's just pure land lording stealth to wealth would be mighty fine, probably even the preferred route as a low profile could be advantageous in that game.

The hustle comes purely from my drive to put my children in a better position than I and to retire my wife from her 9-5.
