There are a number of main reasons.1. 

I feel like the main reason for me being unhappy is that I cannot just drive by the property if necessary and it's also difficult to build rapport with the property manager if you never meet him/her.

Main living area has 3 Beds/ 2 Bath. 1 Bed/1 Bath 650 SF Mother-in-Law suite above garage. 

@Rob Bianco I think the main point of it hurting your cash flow is because you aren't using it to buy ANOTHER rental property that could be cashing flowing in addition to the ones you already own.

Because I have spotty job history (Mainly internships since leaving the military), securing a loan to own a property is out of the question.

I see mixed reviews. mainly they are legit just over priced. however it still might be worth it just for the experience for a beginner.

Hi Lawerence,No FHA will only lend on 1 home to you if you intend to occupy it as your main residence.  

We have a legal accessory apartment that we currently rent out, however, as far as I can tell, we would be in violation of the zoning commission if we were to move and rent the main section as well.

The agent proceeded to provide only three pictures of the facility (exterior main entrance, kitchen of one unit, and the backyard) and relayed that I can only perform a walk-through upon the submission of a Letter of Intent.Is it common to supply a LOI prior to seeing the units in an MFH?
