My businesses will still hold debt.

For the past few months or so I’ve been “scoping out” areas to buy & hold in (LTR). 

While this does technically satisfy the requirements on paper, it would never hold up under audit and would be considered evasion/fraud WHEN discovered (not if).

So I used the loss to offset other taxes, and repurchased the stocks to hold for when they rebound.

My long term goal at the end of my investment journey is to enjoy the journey, play the long game, and  have enough income from my investments that keeps my family well and financially independent.

They are probably smart enough to wait until the court date, then they'll scurry off 1-2 days prior and move to the next victim.I manage 400 rentals and this doesn't happen to me because I don't listen to excuses or play games.

We hold meetings on the last Tuesday of every month.
