So if I could invest and get 10% ownership of a larger deal, with the efficiency that brings in: solid property management, less volatile vacancy figures, etc. would that be a the better route than trying to do it on my own with a much smaller deal?

If you have the address, name of the owner or parcel number, you can pull up the tax record.You can also click on the GIS map from the County page, if available, and check the property acreage, measure the lot, check flood zones, zoning, and more.

I figure it is more efficient to do it this way than driving around to find a fraction of the number of vacant homes in my area and then send a mailer out that will just get thrown away.

There were some last-minute issues with the title but our RE attorney was great and resolved the issue in time for the early closing.Yesterday on the 3rd, I went to sign the paperwork with the property insurance agency at which time I was told they put the wrong address on the quote and after making the correction the premium went from $2,600 to $3,900 annually.
