Hi, I have a 3 family property (built in 1900) that I purchased about 2 years ago and just recently got a home energy audit and in order to take advantage of the state of Massachusetts credit toward insulation of the unit, I am going to have to replace the below space heater because the carbon monoxide emissions are slightly above the allowed limit.

IMHO, the real risk to the real estate market are issues outside of real estate, such as our just-in-time food delivery system, energy, geopolitical issues and above mentioned issues.

But I personally would never include energy/gas in a tenant's rent.I'm guessing you do still need to have some type of insurance for the unit, especially since you are financing.
