I'm going to guess that's probably because it's in a high traffic area based on looking at a Google map.

The more traffic the better.You said the median rent is $1300, just make sure you are finding good comparables to your house that are similar in size, bed/bath count, etc. to evaluate what your house could realistically rent for.It is always a balance between finding the best tenants you can and getting your house rented in a timely manner.

But with the amount of traffic and my proximity to DFW, there has been a lot of success with STR here as well, more of a mix of business travel and vacation travel.
