Hello,I am a small business owner in the medical industry and have decided to start a second business in the real estate sector.

The steady inflow of renters between the two universities and the medical school make Kansas City an ideal market for a buy and hold strategy.

Although we have mostly rented ours to travel medical professionals (x-ray techs, nurses, physical therapists and PAs) we've had inquiries from digital nomads, seasonal forest service workers, relocations, people traveling to the area for medical treatment and academic studies and even a recent divorcee who just needed a safe place to stay on short notice while she figured out her next move.

One scenario that is not covered say you allow pets in your STR and the STR guest is out walking their dog and that dog bites a neighbors child enough to warrant some sort of medical care.

Temperature, disaster rates, and government intervention have a big effect.

It is the hub for education, medical services, agriculture, and business for that area.

I am looking at Midtown for single-family and I think those properties cash flow pretty nicely because they are so cheap but are near some pretty large medical facilities and the University of Nebraska-Omaha.  

But, with being in debt from college bills, helping pay medical bills for my father that's not doing so well, I'm left with hardly anything and want to do something with my life rather than work paycheck to paycheck..
