Really hot markets like Atlanta might still have some runway left before prices flatline or drop a bit but I would be careful of flipping in less hot markets right now.

I think that is a decision based on your situation & goals.I'm not sure what your market rates, prices, or demand are, but I'd suggest analyzing both of the strategies you mentioned and see what numbers make the most sense.

STR that do the best have a target audience based on the the surrounding options that improve the vacation experience.

It would give you the best of both worlds: You would pull out some cash to use on another deal and have a strong base of cash flow.

They'll be able to help and point you in the right direction to see if it's even possible to house hack based on your current position and market conditions.

You could be with your bank for 50 years and if your credit score drops, or you miss a payment or do not show enough income for the debt to income ratios, your not going to get the approval. regardless of how many years you have been using them for checking and savings or even your business account!
