The price on the shelf might be cheaper at one of the big chains,but in my experience,if you are a regular customer at the smaller building supplies,they will discount everything you buy.Go into HD and ask them what kind of deal they can give you on something and they only have the authority to sell it as priced.The other guys will cut you a deal to keep your buisness.

So, it's a little bit slower to sell, but not tremendously so.Something to consider: It's generally cheaper and easier to buy in the winter months, and if you take a couple months to rehab, you'll be selling in the spring if you buy in the late fall or winter.

So while the $97 is a great deal, they certainly make up for it in other places.It was still cheaper for us to use Lowe's than the other carpet installers we called.
