I would be my own general contractor on the project and self perform small portions of the work myself (like flooring, cabinets and trim). 

All my flooring, tile, kitchen cabinets, I also did most of the work myself to keep costs down.

The cabinets, bathrooms, and common room walls are all in okay shape but there are some aesthetic issues and potential demo needed everywhere else.I have no idea on the piping, gas and electric in the home for it has sat unused for years (who can I turn to evaluate this on a budget?)
