I'm so excited to be here - after listening to the Bigger Pockets podcasts for the last 6-8 months and reading numerous books on real estate and business, I am more eager than ever to educate myself as much as possible and start my investment portfolio this year.I feel a quick introduction to myself is in order, so here's some background on who I am and what I am looking to accomplish this year:It all started with my endless search for "the perfect solution" to my endless problem of needing to climb the corporate ladder.

@Rick TurmanHi Rick I don't have a ton to add here other than the observation that any time I've ever explored the possibility of sharing equity with a contractor, AND paying them for their work (time) - there's an inherent conflict here that cannot really be resolved - my experience here is that it's a bad idea to try to accomplish both these things.I don't have much to add on your entity structure, etc. 

The risk of self-dealing is compounded with non-performing notes since there are so many other tasks that need to be accomplished during the workouts.

Your best bet to accomplish your goal of flip and hold is to BRRRR the property.

Unless you have a great job and low bills, that is a very hard goal to accomplish.

I have done some brainstorming with an old mentor and maybe this last correspondence might better summarize what I am trying to accomplish.
