There is also at least a 60 day moratorium on the ability for any lender to foreclose, but with these 6 months of no payment, the government is forcing the hands of the lenders to not be able to foreclose for this 6 month period and beyond in some cases.

This basically allows removal of a tenant that holds over after the end of a lease, unless the landlord accepts rent payments during the holdover period.We are trying very hard to work with each tenant whose income has been affected by the COVID-19 emergency; however, there are a few tenants that were already behind before the EO was published and we were considering evicting them prior to the EO.One concern is that tenants will view this order as government permission to not pay rent.

@Yvonne Willis I know that evictions are paused in CT, but I don't believe there is any government decisions to allow tenants not to pay rent.

I'm still reading the stimulus package (A cliffnotes version would be nice, GOVERNMENT...), but I've been hearing from others that corporations with 500+ employees are eligible for forgivable grants & Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) if they *promise* not to fire a certain percentage of their workforce, among other requirements.
