In OR, usually first year you get a walk-around looking for hazards like rotted stairs, FedPac breakers, etc.That's usually it except for random look-sees.

Most rot occurs next to the gutters and down next to the ground of the house and around all trim.What I did when I had my quad buildings was they had the old cedar wood siding.

.- main roof was rotted through and could see the rot damage from the inside on multiple spots, full roof would be needed with rot repair.- heavy water damage around several main walls, that had just been caulked over multiple times- garage roof was rotted through and could see outside - two trees posed fall hazards both growing 3 ft from foundation one leaning over the hotel next door That was growing out of the detached garage almost.For my first one this was more risk then Im willing to take on.
