People can find a very profitable niche that is of no interest to others.

I definitely recommend checking some of the real estate meetups in the area (there are plenty to choose from) to start getting connected with people in similar spots and to find resources to help.Happy to answer any questions you might have.

As far as OOS investing, please read the many posts from people in HCOL areas, especially California, who are losing money on OOS properties (myself included). 

In short, - Powell is serious about smashing inflation, saying of the inflation in the 1970’s: “People [the Fed] didnt get in there and get it done, so inflation kept coming back.” - Powell is not going to come to the rescue of the housing market.

Sometimes people want to learn and go through the process of self-managing and making mistakes, other times people realize that that thought may not be wise and choose to hand it to someone they trust. 

Hi Everyone, Like Dan Zitofsky, I am sickened to hear of this situation and can't imagine how those affected must feel right now.
