First a little about myself and investment goals:- In my 30s, married with two kids- Living in Columbus OH- Software developer, run a small technology consulting firm- Never owned a home- Have $175k I can deploy towards first purchase now or $250k by summer- Non-leveraged acquisitions only- Time is scarce so any investment must be passive- Focus on rental properties and willing to hold for 10-20 yearsI know there is a lot to learn, and I have started reading some books.

I interviewed with 4 brokerages and realized that in addition to the MLS, NVAR, Sentrilock, and similar necessary fees to play the game, most of them charged other fees such as "desk" fee, E&O insurance, admin fees, technology fees, etc. that I didn't necessarily understand.

From all that I was seeing, Lehi had great promise and it was expected to triple in size within the next 10 years due to a technology/business boom (Lehi is now referred to as Silicon Slopes in the Tech industry and has in fact tripled in size since I first purchased my property).
