I bought a few condo's up at Silver star in B/C back in 2000 and had I held them they would be pretty good vacation rentals.. with loonie low to us dollar I think I was in them in the 35k range and they were ski in ski out.

About 30 minutes into the podcast he stars discussing it.

Is this some kind of scam like I buy the land and then I get socked with a bunch of back taxes and fines and penalties or something, or it's Indian burial land and I'm forced to build a 5-star cemetery on it, and I can't get out of it? 

I've looked some up online, however the good star ratings are often by tenants which doesn't help from an owners perspective!
