@James Wise Actually the money will be for the redesign of the septic tank required to permit the other building as an ADU, adding an additional 150' of leach field, building permit fees, redesign and build out of ADU space, and new electric meter.

When their dog bites somebody or they blow a hole through a wall because they were smoking with an oxygen tank or start a fire because they fell asleep with candles burning?

The nice thing about paying cash is even if the market tanks you will still be fine since you own it free and clear.How you proceed will really depend on your goals and your comfort level.
