We didn't ramp up as fast or as much as you plan to, we hit the level we could handle to self manage in our free time.  

Have you considered using a Self-Directed IRA to purchase an investment property with your IRA funds as an IRA asset?  

It looks like you are managing it your self.

I have been looking into Self directed IRA so he can roll some of that into a SDI to use for RE investments.

You may fall flat on your face or the coach may inexplicably call for a pass on 2nd and goal, when the entire defense is bunched up into a solid wall on the goal line and the championship is on the line, but you're at least guaranteed to learn a lot in the process.

I am in the process of retiring form the land lording game so I only have about 8 of them left . and I self manage them. they were some of my very best rentals ever.
