They were 8.5 by 11 on yellow paper, on telephone poles. 3 or 4 on every corner within a 1 mile block. 200 flyers in 3, 1mile blocks with a couple on the main road so the main trafic could see them.

A friend owns a house in the Wilmington, NC area about 3 miles from the beach.

Some additional info is the house is located less than a mile from a small university, less than 5 miles from a large tire factory and less than 5 miles from the gate to base so the location is optimal for any potential buyers.  

I will simultaneously be looking for deals in North Texas as well specifically in Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Allen and surrounding areas up to 60 miles, if Portland isn't offering much in terms of deals.I have been listening to podcasts, watching webinars and reading as much as I can, but would like to get tips from all of you on how to connect with REI community in Portland.

You can have a series of micro-markets within the same zipcode, all within a mile or less of eachother.I ended up designing software to analyze it for me (which started as just a form) so I could break down all the different micro-markets.
