I foolishly entertained the idea that maybe the state would provide a waiver of some kind and release the property from the liens but that would totally defeat the purpose of a judgment lien...that being that the lien attaches as a way to help guarantee the payment of the amount owed and remains a lien on the property until the debt is paid or the property is sold.

Just make sure if they hold say 5 properties as collateral you set up a amount that each property can be released for if sold or structure it at least for the bank to release it with no money paid if you substitute it with another property. that keeps the cash in your pocket

I'm doing Env Phase 1 and will be doing Phase 2 afyer phase one.Main concerns that 4 gov agencies: MN pollution control, mn dept of agriculture, the City of Mpls and Hennepin county will send me some work orders for site clean up after I buy the building and it will cost me more $.I know that I will be requesting a letter of release from liabilities from MN Polution control and no one at 3 other Gov agencies was not able to give me a clear answer what work orders will they require me to do after I purchse the property.
