If I self managed on the side, or if I owned property 30 mins away I would probably resort to some of these other methods people have mentioned.

It also seems like there are 6+ month waiting lists to get into modern, resort style apartments around here so tenants may be out of luck if they take a gamble leaving, which i think is playing in us (Landlord's favor) as of now as they don't have as much bargaining power.

Some people think you need to be in the heart of Denver or in the ski towns to have success with Airbnb and short term rentals in Colorado, but there are a lot of other areas.

Hello BP forum readers,I purchased my townhome, that I currently reside in, in a resort town in 2018 with an ex-partner. 

I was looking for some property in Whitney, TX at White Bluff resort and saw there is a Land Auction coming up in Dallas in a few weeks, does anyone know if you can get good deals at these or not.

I met my business partner Heather in Gator and we are now doing $20k per month in private capital partnerships, we acquired our first padsplit subto and have multiple resorts/businesses we are looking at. 

We purchase vacant resort lots directly from owners, mainly in NC and VA, and then try to sell them on the open market.

I have to plug it because I am on the organizing committee but I got involved because it was such amazing idea - this will be our 4th year.Did you learn to ski in Santa Fe?

While I don't know much of anything about that region, I've owned homes and operated properties near resorts for years.
